Erecting An Expandable Portable Gazebo

You should always refer to the manufactures instruction prior to erecting your portable gazebo for the first time, but generally you should place the gazebo on a level surface. If you have the have the expandable gazebo canopy this should be opened slightly and the canopy draped over the tops securing any strapping.

With the medium size or heavy  gazebo it is far easier if there are least two people available. Each person should then pull their side of the canopy so that the joints slide up the corner poles. When they are nearly at the top they will need to be clicked into place  one by one.

The gazebo should be raised one corner at at a time until the correct height is reached. After ensuring that the canopy is level it should be securely pegged down using pegs and guy ropes. If this is on a hard standing then bags of ballast or a similar heavy material should be used.

Failing to secure your gazebo properly could result in irreparable damage or loss. Very large gazebos such as those used at weddings are best left to the professionals.

  • Do not leave unattended in adverse weather conditions
  • Do not light fires or barbecues underneath the canopy
  • Always make sure the canopy is securely anchored

Most good quality gazebos have their own carry bag and after use should be packed away properly. Adhearing to the manufactures erection and maintenance instructions should ensure many years of stress free use.

How Can I Secure My Gazebo

gazebo

Not so long ago I bought one of those fairly cheap gazebos from WalMart with a metal frame and canvas top. Last year I bought a similar one and it blew over and was completly wrecked.  I am trying to prevent the same thing happening again.
Any ideas anyone?

Looking For Mesh To Hang Art On In A Gazebo

gazebo

I have been  looking for a mesh that I can purchase to hang art on in a Gazebo. I need it to be lightweight yet quite strong so that it can hold both framed and canvas art. Or if there is an alternative someone could suggest that would do the same job.
